Wines of Excellence
As an international business development, public relations, and communications specialist, Enikő Magyar has devoted herself to the promotion and brand-building of Hungarian wines in North America for several years. She has worked tirelessly on behalf of Vinum Tokaj International to restore the renowned reputation of Hungarian wines on the international market, focusing primarily on the U.S. and Canada.
Magyar was also instrumental in the launch of the successful “Year of Furmint” campaign in 2017, which helped garner the attention of major U.S. distributor Southern Glazer’s, which now includes the Hungarian wines in its portfolio. By declaring 2018 as “The Year of Aszú” in partnership with The SOMM Journal and The Tasting Panel magazines, Magyar will continue her work in promoting Hungary’s rich viticultural heritage and winemaking traditions.
