Kapalua Maui Charities recently donated $5,000 to the Maui Culinary Academy. The organization made the gift on behalf of the 34th annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival, which was held June 13-15, 2014.
More than 3,500 wine and food connoisseurs came together during the event to celebrate, learn and commune about viniculture and culinary trends. The proceeds raised during the festival will be used for the education of aspiring culinary artists who attend MCA, which is a division of University of Hawaii Maui. “The generous funds from Kapalua Maui Charities will be used to enhance and enrich the educational environment at our Academy in addition to providing much needed scholarship support for deserving students,” said Chris Speere, External Coordinator of the Maui Culinary Academy program.
